Cherokee Ranch Golf Club
Rise
to the Challenge
~
Built in 1936, Cherokee Ranch represents one of the earliest golf courses in Texas. A community of devotees have claimed the course as their backyard by taking up residence in the adjoining Cherokee Club Estates, an exclusive subdivision with direct access to the green.
This 18-hole course, 20-tee range with a par of 71 offers amenities including rental clubs and carts storage, in-house pros, clubhouse facilities and more.
Open year-round, Jacksonville’s golf course remains a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Go ahead…take the Challenge!
To start, nine holes on each side of Highway 79 offer a unique course layout. Tight and full fairways, lots of out-of-bounds, and champion Bermuda greens keep the course fast and challenging.
Long holes that cut corners make the course rewarding, and the mix of pines and oaks dotting the landscape offer the perfect mix of softwoods and hardwoods.
Look forward to Hole-14, a narrow downhill dogleg protected by a fairway halfway-down.
