This year marks the 10th annual Cherokee County Master Gardeners Scarecrow Trail – a testimony to its popularity.
Scarecrow designers will be showcasing their family-friendly characters (but never fear … these scarecrows aren’t scary at all!) along a designated trail at the Ruth B. Nichols Arboretum on the loop in Jacksonville. The scarecrows are available for admiring from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and will remain on display through October 17th.
Saturday’s activities include live entertainment, face-painting, food, pumpkins, mums and an array of cleverly-created scarecrows.
Visitors to the Scarecrow Trail are asked to donate non-perishable food items or $1 per person to support H.O.P.E. a local nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to the less fortunate.
